Fun Fact Friday: Get to Know Your Photographer!

It’s time for another Fun Fact Friday, where I share a little more about the person behind the camera—me! I love capturing your family’s moments, but here are a few fun (and maybe slightly chaotic) things you might not know about me:

1. I’m a Terrible Cook 🍳🚫

Let’s just say, if it weren’t for my husband, I might survive solely on Kraft Mac & Cheese and spaghetti. He’s the chef in our house, and I’m totally okay with that. If he’s gone, well… we’re keeping it simple and carb-loaded. No regrets.

2. Pink is My Color (But Glitter Would Be If It Could Be) ✨💖

Pink has always been my favorite, and I use it a lot in my mood boards—especially those moody dark pink/brown tones. They just make my heart happy! And honestly, if glitter was a color, that would be my favorite too. Because, let’s be real—everything is better with a little sparkle.

3. Oldest of Six… But Could’ve Thrived as an Only Child 🤣

Yep, I’m the oldest of six kids, but in another life, I probably would have been the best only child. I love my siblings, of course, but I definitely enjoy my space, quiet moments, and doing my own thing. (Fellow oldest siblings, you get it.)

4. Travel is My Love Language ✈️🏝

Photography has been such a gift in my life, not just because I get to capture beautiful memories, but because it’s taken me across the U.S. to some of the most breathtaking locations. And while I love those photography adventures, I’ll never turn down a Caribbean vacation either—sun, sand, and turquoise water? Yes, please.

5. I’m Basically Held Together by Surgery at This Point 🏥😂

I’ve had 12 surgeries (and let’s be honest, probably more to come). I seem to be a magnet for injuries, and most of my surgeries have been because of them. Fun fact? I’ve broken my nose six times—even after two surgeries to fix it, it’s still crooked. At this point, I just embrace it.

So there you have it—five fun (and slightly ridiculous) facts about me! I love sharing these little tidbits because photography is so personal, and I truly believe that getting to know each other makes for the best, most natural sessions.
