A Behind-the-Scenes Peek at the Weekend That’ll Fill Your Cup

If you’ve ever dreamed of spending a few days surrounded by other passionate photographers, shooting in epic locations, swapping stories, building content, and laughing until your cheeks hurt—Inspired Souls Shootouts are exactly what you’re looking for.

These shootouts, hosted by me (Kelly of @photosbykellylynn) and Cheri of @cherichichizolaphotography, are more than just styled sessions. They’re mini-retreats designed to reignite your creativity, build real friendships, and give you the space to learn, grow, and feel inspired again.

Here’s what a typical weekend with us looks like:

Day One: Welcome & Golden Hour Magic

You’ll arrive at our cozy Airbnb in an epic location (think Big Sur, Charleston, Austin…). We’ll greet you with a welcome cocktail (or mocktail!) and snacks, and give you time to unwind, choose your room, and settle in.

Once everyone’s unpacked, we’ll gather for some casual introductions and conversation—because community is a huge part of this experience. Then it’s time for our first golden hour styled family session in a breathtaking spot.

You'll shoot alongside Cheri and me as we walk you through how we each run our storytelling sessions. You’ll have the chance to:✨ Ask questions on the go✨ Observe how we interact and guide our families✨ Step in and direct if you’re feeling inspired✨ Or hang back and watch the magic unfold

Whether you're building confidence, refining your voice, or soaking it all in, this is your time to learn YOUR way.

Day Two: Headshots & Creative Play

Wake up to a breakfast buffet and mimosas (because yes, we like to do things right). After a slow, easy morning, we head out for a headshot swap—each of us taking turns behind and in front of the camera.

Then it’s off to lunch and a bit of free time. You can explore, unwind, or swap SD cards and pull your headshots to edit in your own style so they’re perfectly on-brand.

That evening, we’ll head back out for our second fully styled golden hour family session—another chance to create stunning portfolio content in a totally new setting with different family dynamics and styling.

Afterward, we’ll grab dinner out, then head back to the Airbnb to hang out, talk photography, and just connect.
