What to Expect: Printing Your Images

You’ve just received your photo gallery, your heart is full, and now you’re wondering—what next? One word: print.
Printing your images is one of the most powerful (and often overlooked) parts of the photography experience. Yes, digital files are great for sharing, but the real magic happens when you turn those memories into something tangible—something that lives on your walls, sits on your coffee table, and becomes part of your everyday life.
Why Printing Matters
Hanging family photos in your home does more than just decorate a space—it tells your story. And even more importantly, it tells your kids they matter. Studies have shown that when children see family photos displayed in the home, it boosts their confidence, sense of belonging, and emotional connection. Your images aren’t just beautiful—they're powerful reminders of love, togetherness, and joy.
Where to Print
Once you’ve downloaded your final images, you’re welcome to print them anywhere—but not all labs are created equal. If you’re printing on your own, the only consumer lab I recommend is Mpix. They’re owned by Millers (the largest professional photo lab in the U.S.), which means their prints are high quality, true to color, and long-lasting—all at a great price point.
Big box stores and one-hour labs (like Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc.) may be convenient, but unfortunately, they don’t offer the same care or quality. Prints from those labs often come out with distorted colors, poor contrast, and soft resolution. It’s a total bummer when your beautifully edited photos don’t look the way they should in print.
I only guarantee color and image quality on prints ordered directly through my professional lab, Millers—so if quality matters most, that’s the way to go!
Albums: A Timeless Keepsake
Albums are one of my favorite ways to preserve memories. There’s something so special about flipping through the pages of a book filled with your family’s story. I create a yearbook album every year for my own family using our favorite photos—and I treasure it more with each passing year.
Whether it’s a yearly family album or a collection from one meaningful session, albums are a beautiful investment that your family can return to again and again.
Styling Your Walls
Looking to frame and display your images in your home? I’ve got you covered there, too! I share my favorite gallery frames and home décor finds on my LTK shop, so you can create a space that feels both personal and polished. From cohesive gallery walls to statement prints, I’m here to help you style your memories in a way that feels like you.
Bottom line? Don’t let your photos live and die on your phone. Print them. Hang them. Flip through them. Let them be part of your daily life—and your family’s story.
And if you ever need help figuring out what to print or where to start, I’m just a message away. Let’s get those memories off the screen and into your hands. 🤍
